A crowd gathers for the lighting of the Christmas Tree and the arrival of our special guests


The Tree is lit



Our special guests arrive by fire truck courtesy of the Walnut Volunteer Fire Department.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and, of course, Elvis

 

Afterwards, a fireworks display can be seen over the decorated buildings on Antique City Dr.

Christmas music playing in the background and a few pretty snowflakes falling set a beautiful scene for the opening of the 22nd Annual Christmas Walk. The colder than predicted temperatures might have kept folks home a little bit longer but by 11:00 the Christmas Walk was under way.

The 22nd Annual Antiques Christmas Walk in Walnut, Iowa begins November 28th, 2003. The annual Christmas walk is held every year for three days beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving.

The many Antique Shops in Walnut will be decorated for the Holidays and many will be offering hot apple cider, coffee, and cookies.
