Well, that's the end of the 21st Annual AmVets Antique Show.

Its been a blast. Thanks to everyone for coming out and we'll see 'ya next year. And, of course, the Antique shops in Walnut are open year-round, so now that the crowds are gone come visit the shops.

If you saw something that you wish you would have bought in one of the shops send us an email.

You can find info on the shops and some email links HERE.

Lori, from Mira Loma, CA stopped by and asked if we could send this message to her sister for her:

"Hi to sister, Kim. I'm in Iowa at the show and you're not. Ha!"

People have had a lot fun digging through the printer's type. Many have been spelling out everyone's name in their family.

I am still hoping for someone to stop by from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch

Sunday also means a welcome relief from our ridiculously loud noon whistle. :)

Sunday morning and we are all moving a little slowly. We've had some time to get out and shop for ourselves a little, and sample the food of course. Yesterday, it was roast pork sandwhiches from the Presbyterian Church stand. Today, it was hamburgers and brats from the Lutheran Church stand. And, of course, roasted almonds which are a requirement every year.

Quittin' Time!

Scott from Omaha, NE. was kind enough to pose for this picture while he was deciding which Oddfellow's hat he liked best.

Some more pictures from Antique City Dr.

and Atlantic St.

Here is a pic of the real brains of the operation. Mason enjoying the shade before we lose it.

Teresa got a chance to take a walk through the crowd finally.

Well, so far, its been another beautiful day. We had a visit with some people from Country Living Magazine [Update Here] , who came in from New York to buy some furnishings for a house they are decorating for an upcoming magazine feature. They said that they had a wonderful time in Walnut and were very impressed with our town and the antique show.

Well, the first day is just about over. The six o'clock whistle just blew and the people are thinning out. It has been a great day, now its time to start closing up shop.

Oh yeah. The weather is absolutely perfect!

It is after 2 pm on the first day of the show and this is the first moment I've had to post. Between setting up this morning and selling to the steady stream of people we've had very little time.

...and here are the Porto-Johns in my front yard. :)

The food stands are being set up. This is the Peace Church stand in front of my house:

Tommorrow: Fri Jun 13 Mostly Cloudy

20 % Chance of Precip.

The 21st annual AmVets Antique Show starts tomorrow (Fri Jun 13, 2003). The AmVets are beginning to set up their services and get things in order for the big weekend.
Antique City Dr. and Atlantic St. should be closed this evening to allow the dealers to get their stuff set up early tomorrow morning.

Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. Looks like a chance of rain tonight, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday should be clear. That's very good news.

Here we go.
